Mid Semester Chaos

It’s mid October, and most of us are well into the school year. The holiday season, especially for those of us in the US, is just around the corner.

Those two things together can spell disaster - if you let them.

I think most kids with Attention Deficit Disorder start the school year on a hopeful note. This year they will do better in school, and be more organized, and less forgetful.

Often, though, they aren’t equipped with the proper tools to make those good intentions fact.

And at this point in the semester (about halfway through?) staying ahead of the chaos may be the new goal.

By this time, papers have been misplaced (whether you know it or not) and the backpack, possibly the locker, are starting to look like a place no sane person would go.

It’s hard to live like this, and harder still to learn and get good grades when you can’t find your notebook or a pen to write with.

Now, before things get really busy for you, is an excellent time to get things back in order. And once you have them in order, maybe you can set up a system to keep them that way.

If you could use some help, my 12 Week Email Coaching Program can do exactly that. It’s designed for both parent and child to do together, although older kids could do it alone. 12 weeks will take you into January and will maybe help you start the new year off on a more positive note.
