That got your attention, didn’t it?
Actually, no, I’m not about to suggest that Winnie the Pooh has Attention Deficit Disorder.
I do want to let you know, though, that I just discovered a wonderful site with lots of information about ADHD. It’s called New Ideas, and it’s full of information for parents and teachers. I especially like the section with strategies for teachers to use in their classroom. You might want to take a look at that, and make a gentle suggestion or two.
Where does Winnie the Pooh come in?
Well, this site has taken Dr. Amen’s traditional sub types of Attention Deficit Disorder and put them into easier to understand terms. So, for instance, your child might be:
- Winnie the Pooh Type
-
Tigger Type
- Eyore Type
-
Piglet Type
-
Rabbit Type
-
Troubled Type (not a Winnie the Pooh character, but I didn’t make the list)
You’ll have to check out the site yourself to see what each type is all about. I’m still trying to figure out which one I am…..
