I found a really cool site the other day that I thought I would share with you.

It’s called Lumosity and it offers a wide variety of scientifically designed brain games.

There are games that will help you remember, focus, and concentrate. There are even games specific to ADHD. I played a few of them. They are short and entertaining; I don’t think that most kids would mind playing them. And with the built in competitiveness – beating your best score – you’re really encouraging them to do something that’s good for them.

I have to say that the “rules” of the site are a little confusing. They offer a free membership, but only for a week. However, it seems that you can play many of the games without signing in as a member. Membership is fairly priced – $79.95 for a year.

Membership allows you to save and track your results. The site claims that doing the games on a regular basis will actually improve your brain function.

Lumosity has been endorsed by a pretty impressive group, including the New York Times, the LA Times, ABC and NBC, and Martha Stewart. And in case you’re wondering who’s behind this site, here’s a quote:

Lumosity is designed by some of the leading experts in neuroscience and cognitive psychology from Stanford and UCSF.

Stop by Lumosity and check it out. I think you’ll like what you find.

  2. Yo! Impressive website contents, I’m just a bit interested because there isn’t any worthless user feedback on this blog as there is on a lot of websites on the web today, so you’ve done a incredible job of managing your website. Regardless, keep making great articles on your blog and I will keep visiting :) Thanks a bunch, Henry.
