Does your ADD Student have a cell phone?

I know that’s sort of dependent on how old they are, but I did have a little princess trick or treating at my door last Halloween with her trick or treat bag in one hand and a pink cell phone in the other. You never know.

Anyway, if your kid is anything like mine, they are running the risk of having the phone grow permanently to their hand.

If your child is “attached” to their cell phone, and they are allowed to have it in school at all, encourage them to put it to better use. If they can’t have their phones in school, maybe they could use another kind of electronic device like a PDA or iPod.

Almost every cell phone, even the most basic, has a calendar or appointment application and alarm capability. Putting homework assignments (or anything else they need to remember) into an electronic device has a few advantages:

You’re less likely to lose or misplace a cell phone than a piece of paper
The cell phone has an alarm setting that can remind you of what you need to remember
    It’s small and portable
Entering text into a cell phone is not only fast, it’s readable, unlike handwriting

I highly recommend embracing technology and putting it to work for your ADD Student.

Phones are a necessity for our kids. With both of us working, and all the after school activities, scheduling pickup can be a hassle. Kajeet has a really unique service designed for kids. If phones are a problem at school, parents can set the times of day when the phone can’t be used. It can only call parents or emergency numbers. Through the award winning parental control panel, moms and dads can manage how the phone is used.
